Schedule & Dates
The academic year is broken into two semesters: Fall and Spring. FAYM does not offer a Summer semester. Each of the two semesters will be about 14 weeks long. Each FAYM class meets once per week, with the exception of AP Music Theory, which meets twice per week. Final concerts will be scheduled near the end of the semester, on or around the final week.
The Fall 2026 Schedule is subject to change, based on registration and interest. Each class will have minimum and maximum enrollment limits. We will offer classes based on teacher and space availability.

July 20th - Registration begins
July 27th - Registration ends
July 28st - Late registration begins ($15 additional fee)
August 1st - Last day of late registration
August 13th 10:00am - Musical instrument demo
August 19 - Strings orientation classes
August 20 - Band orientation classes
August 26th-27th - First real week of classes for everyone
November 18th-19th - Fall Concert dress rehearsal and last week of classes
November 20th - Fall Semester Concert (proposed date)
Various dates in August - Auditions, testups, and theory quizzes
